Graphical and Icon changes

Postby pcos08 on Fri Sep 12, 2008 7:09 pm

Ok, guys this is the last default icon change. I found a theme based on Tango that will serve as the default from now on. As per the development team we have hammered this issue over and over again. We have decided on a default and this will not change every version, I strive for consistency and only making changes when necessary.

1) I want to stay away from KDE Oxygen Icons. They belong to the KDE team and not enough is done to integrate into any GTK based desktop.

2) I really want to stay away from Be icons as they look dated and I dont want PC/OS to get to be known as a Be knockoff.

3) I want to stay away from Mac OS X style and Vista style icons as they belong to Apple and Microsoft exclusively.

Below is the new and non changing default icon theme for PC/OS 2009 and beyond.

Nice change, I like it. But ya one of the things I like is the consistency of PC/OS, so its nice this is the only change.
