Where did you get the BeOS icons? Why cant PC/OS ship with the Be icons and the logo as default?

Where did you get the BeOS icons?

To get the beOS theme is very simple go to synaptics and complete remove gnome theme extras (if installed), then download this:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/all/gnom ... s/download
Install it and you are ready to go

(Theme "Wasp")
(Icones "guepes")

For others icons in replacement for firefox or mail ...etc i've got a package with many BeOS icons [5.5mb] found on the web.
If you're really in need i can send it to you

Why cant PC/OS ship with the Be icons and the logo as default?

I don't know...

Please post a screenshot. ;-)

Icon choices

Postby pcos08 on Wed Jul 02, 2008 3:28 pm

The Icon theme and Be logo are copyrighted by ACCESS. Im sure if I begged they would license the rights to me but I want everything to be on the up and up and not pull a Yellowtab Zeta. I did ask ACCESS if the Window decoration was OK and he told me it was fine. Thanks for the links to those icons, I may include them in R2

I noticed XMMS in the bar in one of the ss's above....... XMMS is my fave... I know, the new fork/whatever apparently does a lot of things better, but I like to run XMMS out of gKrellm........can't do that with the new fork/whatever....
