Postby fantazam on Thu Apr 16, 2009 3:56 pm

hi to creator of pc-os im still using pc-os 2009 32 bit and i realy love distro it served me well...
my question is about 64 bit version of pc-os will it come-(if yes when) i need 64bit for my new 64bit desktop machine, will 64 bit os be same as 32 bit,and dont forget to put java and flash offcourse :)??

and one sugestion.. remove opera ad give back firefox to pc-os new version when it comes-(trust me much more users love firefox and use firefox than opera)offcourse opera can be downloaded later if somebody need's it ;)

picasa and shortcuts-(google and other) are not needed to be in live-cd i would give that as option, but that only my opinion

execept that everithing else is more than perfect, keep up the good work

btw. will new pc-os will be based on ubuntu hardy 8.04.2-(hardy) or on interpid?

The 64 bit release is scheduled for release in June 09. We are currently working on the 64 bit release trying to hammer out the release and make it just as good as the 32 bit release. We may have a tech preview available at some point but its been undecided.

We are always evaluating the browser choices and modify if needed. Opera has served us well so far.

The releases with the year after it is based on the LTS, so PC/OS 2009v3 which is scheduled for release in July will still be based on Ubuntu 8.04, PC/OS 10 which is scheduled for release in Sept/Oct will be based on Ubuntu 9.04. PC/OS Open64 will be based on Ubuntu 9.04.
