Ibiblio may be off again, myself and the ibiblio admin had a conversation where Ibiblio was getting hit hard by the openSUSE release. Will check on the problem.

Data verified

Data has been verified from the website, checked the md5sum and actually both you printed were wrong. I downloaded the ISO and matched the md5 and everything is OK. I also uploaded the new md5 file for PC/OS Open Server System 2008. Installs correctly under virtual machine.

hey

thanks for prompt response

i am writing this from a PC/OS Workstation
installed off the 900mb DVD image (which did arrive ok)

let's call this RESOLVED

---AND---

let's delete this branch off the forum Tree
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

performance is actually acceptable on this (otherwise poky)
VIA Mini-ITX
epia5000 = 533mHz VIA Samuel 2

the tiny L1 and L2 cache on this platform,
and the otherwise unacceptable (read:shitty) IGP video
seem to be ok

suspect current video is VESA
will look at how to get the via-specific driver going.
that will not be easy, now that
i cannot just go into /etc/X11/xorg.conf and "make it so"

time to re-Learn again.

love the BeOS flavourings

next target system:
VIA Ln10,000eg mini-ITX
will advise progress
